Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP, is sterile, non-pyrogenic water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative. The benzyl alcohol inhibits microbial growth, allowing multi-use access after initial puncture for up to 28 days.
