Charging the Pen

Remove the dosage pen from the box and take off the white pen lid. Next, screw on the needle tip and remove the larger protection cap. Finally, remove the smaller needle tip protection cover exposing the actual needle tip.

Now you will remove all the air from the vial so your first dosage is the actual compound: Holding the dosage pen upright (tip toward the ceiling) – Unwind the dosage dial to number 20. Slowly depress the dial stopping only when a single drop of liquid comes out of the needle tip. Repeat this process of unwinding the dial and depressing until 1 or 2 drops of liquid are expressed. The pen is now charged and ready for dosage. This process only needs to be completed once per pen.

Wind (do not depress) the dial back to zero (0). You are now ready to use the pen.

Dosage

Dial your dosage by unwinding the dosage dial to the number you are prescribed for your dosage (see below).

Place rubbing alcohol on the skin of the injection site. Insert the needle tip into the skin and slowly depress the dosage dial. Keep the needle tip in for an extra 30 seconds after dosing to absorb any droplets of the compound still exiting. Place the small needle tip plastic protection cover on, then finally replace the white pen lid and place the unit back into cold storage.

• 1 IU = 3 units on the pen
• 2 IU = 6 units on the pen
• 3 IU = 9 units on the pen

Storage

• Store in the refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F).
• Do not freeze.
• Once reconstituted, Biotropin can be kept at room temperature for up to 21 days, allowing for flexible travel and storage.
