General8 questions
Research peptides are short chains of amino acids (typically 2-50) that serve as signaling molecules in biological systems. They are used extensively in preclinical and academic research to study mechanisms of tissue repair, metabolism, immune modulation, and aging. All peptides sold by Elite Bioscience are intended strictly for research and educational purposes.

Lyophilization (freeze-drying) is a preservation process that removes water from the peptide solution under vacuum at low temperatures. This produces a stable, dry powder that maintains its molecular integrity for months or years when stored properly. All our peptides ship as lyophilized powder and require reconstitution with bacteriostatic water before use in research.

Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which inhibits bacterial growth. It is the standard solvent for reconstituting lyophilized peptides because it keeps the solution stable for multiple uses over an extended period. We carry 10ml bacteriostatic water vials for your research needs.

Unreconstituted (lyophilized) peptides should be stored at -20°C for long-term storage or at 2-8°C (refrigerator) for short-term storage. Once reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, the solution should be refrigerated at 2-8°C and used within 14-28 days depending on the specific peptide. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, direct sunlight, and excessive heat.

BPC-157 is a pentadecapeptide derived from gastric juice that primarily promotes angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation) and modulates nitric oxide signaling at injury sites. TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of thymosin beta-4 that works by promoting cell migration and reducing inflammation. While both support tissue repair research, they operate through different mechanisms and are frequently studied together for synergistic effects. See our BPC-157 and TB-500 product pages for detailed research summaries.

GLP-1 (Glucagon-Like Peptide-1) receptor agonists are peptides that mimic the incretin hormone GLP-1, which plays a key role in blood sugar regulation and appetite control. In preclinical research, these compounds have shown significant effects on metabolic function and body composition. We carry several GLP-1 variants including GLP-1s, GLP-2t, and GLP-3r (Retatrutide, with 5/10/20mg options).

Yes. We offer several research-grade growth hormone secretagogues and releasing peptides, including CJC-1295 (no DAC), Ipamorelin, Sermorelin, and Tesamorelin. These peptides stimulate the pituitary gland to release growth hormone through different receptor pathways and are commonly studied in combination.

Protocols6 questions
Reconstitution involves slowly adding bacteriostatic water to the lyophilized peptide vial. Using an insulin syringe, draw the desired amount of BAC water and inject it gently along the inner wall of the vial — never directly onto the powder. Swirl gently until dissolved. Our Mixing Instructions page provides step-by-step guidance with dosage calculators for every peptide we carry.

For reconstitution, a standard 1ml (100-unit) insulin syringe with a 29-31 gauge needle is most commonly used. The fine gauge needle minimizes rubber stopper damage on the vial and allows precise volume measurement. For drawing bacteriostatic water from the BAC water vial, a slightly larger syringe (3ml) with a blunt-tip needle can be more convenient. Visit our Mixing Instructions for detailed supply recommendations.

Dosage calculation depends on the total peptide amount in the vial and the volume of bacteriostatic water used for reconstitution. For example, if you reconstitute a 5mg vial with 2ml of BAC water, the concentration is 2.5mg/ml (or 250mcg per 0.1ml). Our Mixing Instructions page includes an interactive dosage calculator that handles these calculations automatically for each product.

Subcutaneous (SubQ) injection refers to administration into the fatty tissue layer beneath the skin, typically in the abdominal area or thigh. It is the most common route for peptide research protocols because of reliable absorption rates and ease of administration. This method uses short, fine-gauge needles (29-31G) and is detailed in our Safety Guide.
Was this helpful?
While some researchers combine compatible peptides in a single injection for convenience, it is generally recommended to reconstitute and store each peptide in its own vial. Mixing peptides in the same vial can affect stability and make dosage adjustments difficult. If combining for injection, draw each peptide sequentially into the same syringe immediately before use — do not pre-mix and store.
Was this helpful?
Most reconstituted peptides remain stable for 14-28 days when stored at 2-8°C (refrigerator) and handled with sterile technique. Always use bacteriostatic water (not sterile water) for reconstitution, as the benzyl alcohol preservative inhibits bacterial growth. Wipe the vial stopper with an alcohol swab before each use. Specific stability windows are listed on each product page.
